What is the difference between a confirmation and an appointment reminder?
The confirmation is sent when the appointment is booked: it records the commitment and lets mistakes be corrected straight away. The reminder is sent before the date: it brings the appointment back to mind. Both are complementary and fire from the same calendar event.
Can the client reply to the confirmation text?
Yes. The reply comes back to you and lets the appointment be confirmed or cancelled. A slot cancelled early is a slot you can reassign.
Do appointments have to be re-entered anywhere?
No. SMS Meeting reads the event in Outlook or Google Calendar and builds the message from its fields: date, time, location, attendees. No double entry.
Can confirmations be sent from our own software?
Yes, through the SMS Meeting API. Your booking software triggers the confirmation on save, using the same message template.
How much does a confirmation text cost?
It is counted as a standard message from your bundle, from €0.08 excl. VAT. The confirmation and the reminder each count as one send.
